Croatian share indices close mixed in lower turnover
ZAGREB (Croatia), July 21 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed mixed on Wednesday after a brief recovery on Tuesday, as trading turnover fell, bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 18-share benchmark CROBEX index edged down 0.29%, closing at 1,918.48 points.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, finished at 1,185.83, up 0.06%.
Shares of blue-chip company Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] advanced 0.26% to close at 191.50 kuna ($30/25.4 euro) in a turnover of 878,500 kuna, the biggest turnover for the day on the ZSE.
Civil engineering company Ingra [ZSE:INGR] was the second most liquid stock on Wednesday with a turnover of 519,500 kuna. It was also the biggest loser on Wednesday, as its share price plunged 5.88% to close at 12 kuna, erasing part of its gain of almost 16% recorded on Tuesday.
Shares of shipping company Alpha Adriatic [ZSE:ULPL] jumped 39.84% to close at 86 kuna in a turnover of 297,600 kuna.
The bourse's total regular trading turnover contracted to less than 3.7 million kuna, from 5.1 million kuna on Tuesday.
