Sofa bourse blue-chip index closes higher, NIF Dynamic boosts turnover
SOFIA (Bulgaria), January 13 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) rose by 0.17% to 648.19 points on Thursday, mainly backed by a 1.47% increase in the shares of Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], bourse data showed.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market went up to 1.4 million levs ($820,500/715,800 euro) from 1.15 million levs on Wednesday.
The most-traded company on Thursday was National Investment Fund Dynamic (NIF Dynamic) [BUL:DYN]. As many as 56,800 shares in NIF Dynamic changed hands flat an average price of 10.2600 levs, contributing nearly 582,800 levs to the daily turnover.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, advanced by 0.10% to 145.07 points. The index was mainly supported by a 2.59% rise in the share price of venture capital (VC) firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C].
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.06% to 694.35 points, dragged down by a 1.83% drop in drug trader Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT].
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed 1.81% higher at 164.73 points, reflecting gains in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT.
